I was quite busy lately in restructuring our Online Ventures, (Saifulsham.com excluded). And finally I have some time to sit down and blog. Huh… Oh yes, in a few days time you may see some changes in the structure of this blog. Actually this site was launched in February because we want to take advantage on SEO and avoid Google Aging Delay. We initially planned to launched this site, in mid June. And I must say, we have done very well. When we officially open in a few days, we will already have a steady stream of visitors.

And there is an underlying message in the above story that relate to today’s lesson. TRY!

Do you know what differentiate 70% of successful business plans and the not so successful?

The successful plans are executed. The not so succesful one, well… are just a plan.

So, you have done your research, you have your idol and inspiration, you have your business vision. So, why wait? TRY! They say, experience is the best teacher and it never far from the truth. Most of us however, prefer to play it safe. They will always wait and see. They are waiting for the right moment to jump into the boat. And when they usually get in the boat, when they realize they are hardship in front, they will be too late that failure, is not an option.

By doing what you have planned early, (for example 3 months earlier) you have the flexibility to try and implement various method in doing things. And if one of the method tried was futile, you can always change. You can fail because you still have time to rectify the problem without putting too much pressure on yourself . And imagine how much experience 3 months can give you? Helluva lot. ;) And experiences, the same as knowledge… they doesn’t add, they doesn’t multiply, they snowballed EXPONENTIALLY!

Let’s talk about numbers now to share with you an example. Before starting SaifulSham.com, I have my own blog. With my blog I take about 3 months for my first 100 unique visitors, and to get 1000, I have to wait for another 3-4 months… Wait, wait… 100+ in 3 months, and 900+ in the next 3 months?

Why? Surprised? Didn’t I said just now, it snowballed!

Another guess, what is the number now? Less 6 from 5000. :)

And that is my PERSONAL blog. I’m not Siti Nurhaliza. Who want to know about me…

And that just visitors. By trying and doing, I also learnt about the Do’s & Don’ts of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO). And now, I can gladly say, SaifulSham.com has benefited a lot from it. I have cut short te learning curve.

Btw, don’t afraid to make mistakes too. I also work with some other sites which also are doing very well. For example in one particular site, I messed up with Google. The site was banned for quite a number of months by Google although it ranks very well with other search engines. But, I learnt my lessons. Now, a few months later, Google was referring a cool 1200+ unique visitor A MONTH!

Hmm, that’s about TRY. For be creative side, try to think outside of the box. Devise a solution, offer something outrageous! Don’t be afraid to make mistakes, it’s a blessing in disguise!

Gotta run, but before that, remember…
